Which databases can I run?
MySQL 8, MariaDB 10.11, PostgreSQL 16 (with pgvector), TimescaleDB, Redis 7, Valkey 8, Memcached, FerretDB (MongoDB-compatible), OpenSearch 2, ClickHouse and Kafka 3.9.
Where are the databases hosted?
Choose Mumbai or Delhi NCR (Noida) in India, London, Germany or France in Europe, or Singapore. Pick the location closest to your app servers for the lowest latency.
Are my databases backed up?
Yes. Every database is backed up automatically every day to separate backup storage, kept for 7 days plus 4 weekly and 6 monthly copies. You can also take a backup any time and restore from the dashboard — a safety backup of the current data is taken before every restore.
How do I keep my database private?
Use Trusted sources: list the IP addresses of your app servers and every other address is blocked before it reaches the database. Every database also requires a strong password, and MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB and OpenSearch support encrypted (TLS) connections.
How fast is setup?
Most databases are ready in 2–4 minutes after payment. Kafka and OpenSearch take up to about 10 minutes. You get the host, port, username, password and a ready-to-paste connection string in your dashboard.
Do I get MongoDB?
We offer FerretDB, which speaks the MongoDB protocol — use your existing MongoDB drivers and mongosh. It runs on PostgreSQL underneath.
How does billing work?
